World Vision encourages public awareness about the needs of others, the causes of poverty, and the nature of compassionate response. These efforts include collaboration with media and community participation in fundraising. In areas of the world that are considered too dangerous for news organizations to send their crews, World Vision’s own videographers supply newscasters with footage of events from these areas. In its communications, the organization claims to uphold the dignity of children and families in presenting explanations of the causes and consequences of poverty, war, neglect, and abuse.
The mission of the American Family Association is to inform, equip, and activate individuals to strengthen the moral foundations of American culture, and give aid to the church here and abroad in its task of fulfilling the Great Commission.
The Fight On Foundation was created in 2009 in memory of Derrick Dull, who passed away after an 11-month battle with Leukemia. The Foundation was created to provide financial assistance to cancer patients and their families. The goal is that this assistance will allow families to focus on their treatments as opposed to the stress that is often brought about by the financial burden of cancer. Through fundraisers and generous donations, the Fight On Foundation has raised over $500,000 for local families.
